Monkey Pod (Acacia) detail Constant outdoor use can be very hard on wooden statues and totems - if they are not made from the right wood.

That's why all our best quality Tiki Statues and Totems are hand-carved from Acacia wood, otherwise known by its Hawaiian name, Monkey Pod.

Acacia is a dense, naturally resinous hardwood which is perfect for outdoor use and (by it's very nature)..

..resists penetration by water and will not stain
..naturally repels insects!

Beautifully hand-carved by our craftsmen on the Hawaiian island of O'ahu we have nearly one hundred and twenty Hawaiian-made Outdoor Tiki statues and totems.
